eDiets Review

What is eDiets?

Tired of eating salt-less, sugar-less, fatless, and flavourless food so you can lose weight? There are some enterprising individuals who can provide you with tasty meals but still allow you to stick to a diet plan that will help you lose the unwanted pounds. One online program that provides this type of service is Ediets. Ediets allows clients to go online and order from their menu. These meals will be delivered to the client’s home weekly. The meals are packed securely so that the food is kept fresh until the dieter is ready to eat it.

eDiets – how does it work?

Once a person signs up at the Ediets website, he or she will be prompted to give information regarding his or her weight, height, age, specific allergies and health issues, lifestyle, and physical activities if there are. The person will also be asked to provide a list of his or her favourite meals. The eDiets expert will then come up with a meal plan that caters to the provided profile. The dieter will be provided with a meal plan containing a list of items to be bought in the grocery, recipes, and a set menu for the week. After paying the subscription or joining fee, the member will also be able to access an online support personal, a fitness trainer, and a nutritionist that can provide essential tips on how to lose weight fast. Just recently, the company launched its service for meals delivery. Instead of cooking your own food, you only need to click on the online menu to choose the food that you want to eat for the week. This eliminates the guess work in tracking calories and portions. All the member needs to do is to heat the container and he can already enjoy a delicious yet nutritious meal.

eDiets – Results and Advantages

The average weight loss to be expected by the members of eDiets is at least two pounds per week. This will hold true for the next five weeks. After that, the pounds will continue to drop if the member continues to follow the meal plans provided by eDiets. Success stories posted on the internet boast of losses of up to 105 pounds. This is phenomenal for a diet plan that doesn’t really restrict the dieter’s eating habit. One huge advantage of being a member of this program is that each individual is provided with a diet plan that is specifically made just for him or her. Since each person has a unique profile which is taken into consideration when the eDiets expert creates the meal plan, it is tailored to help the person adjust to the plan as easily and as quickly as possible. You won’t be forced to eat anything that you dislike. Additionally, the plan can also target specific problems. If you want to protect your heart, you can choose the Heart Smart program. Vegetarian and Mayo Clinic plans are also available.

eDiets – The Minus Points and Disadvantages

The many disadvantage of the eDiets program is the cost. The weekly fee is less than $5. This may seem minimal, however, if you add it up, you may be charged around $20 a month. A charge of $25 will also need to be paid if a member chooses to cancel his or her membership before the third month. Apart from the weekly fee, if a member chooses to have the meals made and delivered by the company, he or she would need to shell out $99 every five days. Another setback is when the member has no will to strictly follow the meal plan. If he or she deviates from the plan, the desired effect will not be achieved. Lastly, there are some reports that the customer service provided by the eDiets company is unsatisfactory. There are times when the nutritionist or the trainer cannot be contacted.

eDiets – Is it for you?

For people who wish to lose weight gradually and safely, eDiets is a good way to go. It is important to note that this plan will require a degree of commitment. If you do not want to stick to a prescribed meal plan, this program is not for you. Additionally, if you do not have time to cook your meals and you cannot afford to order them online, it may be better to look for another diet plan. If you need to lose weight fast, it is ideal to combine the eDiets plan with a diet supplement like Phentramin-D. This diet pill will hasten the weight loss process without any scary side effects.

Hello! I have tried Diet-To-Go, BistroMd and eDiets Home Meal Delivery Plans, and am currently on the Diet-To-Go 1,600 Calories/day Traditional Plan…

I can honestly say that My Hubby and I tried the food from each of these services and that the BEST is definitely the Diet-To-Go! It isn’t at all bland, TASTES FRESH and VERY GOOD, offers many great substitutions, offers everyday food that one would actually crave, and is the cheapest of these 3. The people there are helpful and friendly too if you have any questions of concerns. And they do offer credits if your order is wrong and I believe they also do if you didn’t like a meal, although I have never asked for that because I don’t feel it’s their fault if something just didn’t taste good to me. They also make it extremely easy to do most anything from their website including stopping and restarting your plan whenever you choose, which is very convenient! Their website is the best of all 3 and again the food is fabulous! Plus you get the option of either 5 or 7 day plans with 1,200 or 1,600 calories per day with the Traditional Low Fat Plan and they also offer a Low Carb Plan and a Vegetarian Plan. Also you can choose to have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner or just Lunch and Dinner. My hubby and I are thoroughly impressed with Diet-To-Go and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to eat a more balanced healthy diet or for weight loss. This food is seriously excellent and worth the money!

BistroMD wasn’t at all bad, but was too bland for us. They did allow you to add or remove certain meals or ingredients, but it was more fancy foods that frankly we are not into. Plus it was more expensive and you didn’t get your choice of omitting breakfast or different calorie plans although did also offer 5 and 7 days plans. I don’t think they offer Low Carb or Vegetarian Plans either. And I felt the meals seemed more repetitious than Diet-To-Go. There seemed to be a lot of very similar meals with only a small change to it, like a different sauce or something. One thing about BistroMD though is they have the NICEST people working there! Also they are very good about cancellation and setting any billing errors straight. I can say I would recommend BistroMD, it just wasn’t as good as Diet-To-Go, in our opinions.

And then there’s eDiets… That was just terrible all the way around! Bad customer service, deceptive fees for cancelling, the food was not at all good and the portions were tiny. Didn’t taste fresh AT ALL! I would never use this service again and would never recommend it. Even using the online only plan is a pain! They don’t take cancellations lightly and if you use ANY offer code and cancel before 28 days, you WILL get charged the ENTIRE amount of whatever the offer was upon cancellation. I found a code for 50% off the first week and within a day of receiving my first order, I cancelled because it was extremely disappointing. When I called to cancel the girl told me because I used an offer code and was cancelling before 28 days, that my credit card would be charged the entire amount of the food. I was angry and told her that I read the agreement before signing up and never saw that anywhere (which is the truth!) but she stated it is there and that I would have to pay the remaining amount. At that point I didn’t care and just wanted to be done with this dishonest company and their barely edible food. I will NEVER use ANY of their services again!

Eating smart with the daily walking soudns good:The natural “diet”: Eat, drink, and be merryEat smart – well-balanced meals, cut out any unnecessary calories (snacking just because), eat when you are hungry (grumbling stomach, hunger pains) and only eat until you are satisfied (not a bite more), 5-6 smaller meals is better than 3 larger ones. Also, stop eating 2-3 hours before bed – you should be slightly hungry at bed timeDrink plenty of water, not only to stay hydrated, but its important for weight loss, including helping the muscles tone and suppressing hungry. (Tip – the lighter your urine the more hydrated you are.)Be merry – in other words exercise, not only is it needed for weight loss, it releases chemicals in your brain and makes you more happy (some of it is addicting which is known to a lot as “runner’s high”). 30 minutes of cardio is recommended daily, and a good work out program uses cardio and weight training (even if it’s just toning – light weights, more reps). Do something you enjoy and it will be easier to stick it out.
